What are good distractions from binging? What kinds of things work?

Various. There are 2 ways to avoid binging - healthy distractions & feeling the emotions that the binges help you avoid. Distractions include journaling, creativity, gardening, exercising, seeing friends, etc. Expressing feelings ultimately eliminates them (as counterintuitive as that sounds). Treat yourself as you would a friend or loved one and you will feel better, and be less likely to binge.
