In brief: No Magic Pill

I joke with my patients, "there's no magic pill.
" however, medications for weight control can be a helpful tool when used in the context of a bariatric weight control program. They have little value, and may actually cause weight gain when used alone. For some, they help with symptoms due to their effects on serotonin and norepinephrine receptors; which control mood, drive, motivation and hunger.

In brief: Hmmm.

Satiety is signalled by variety of cues both internal and external.
Stomach full of low calorie alternatives is great appetite suppressant. Remove social, visual, olfactory, temporal cues to eat. Keep busy schedule to prevent too much lingering while eating. Stimulants may work but not recommended. Lorcaserin recently fda approved. Next few years may see better agents..

In brief: L-Glutamine

L-glutamine regulates dopa receptors in brain and turns on satiation center. Glutamine also heals inflammation induced by hunger pains (weeping pancreas causing hunger) so works in different levels - it is healthy and works on satiation.
Take glutamine 2gm wait for 30 minutes if you still feel hungry then eat. Eat healthy snacks like dried parmesean chips, sun flower seeds, walnuts.
