In brief: PVD

Pvd is gradual obliteration of lumen of peripheral (usually lower extremities) arteries by atherosclerotic process.
This causes what is called ischemia resulting in claudication. Pain/ cramping of the legs. When you have pvd! you should also be tested for coronary artery disease.
