Is it safe to pour Pulmicort respules directly into the nose while upside down? Does it help?

In brief: Probably not
Pulmicort was designed to be in atomized form. However, it is often mixed into sinus rinse kits, which significantly dilutes the medication, making it much safer. Direct application of the Pulmicort respule to the nasal mucosa may lead to atrophic changes, which thins the mucosa and can lead to a brittle, dry, internal nasal lining that is prone to bleeding.
