Challenging Disease. Behcet's is a chronic systemic vasculitis with ulcers in the mouth, genitals and sometimes eyes as well as skin manifestations and arthritis. Traditional therapies for this rare disease include high-potency topical and intralesional steroids. Other topical therapies exist. Also Dapsone and Colchicine (oral medications) can help. More agressive therapies can be used also.
There's a variety. Get with a specialist. Ask about thalidomide and the many other meds that have been tested. Folks with Behcet's often experiment a lot. Just don't drop all mainstream Rx in favor of vitamins or flower petals -- Behcet's is serious stuff. Best wishes.
