In brief: Autoimmune disease

Also known as autoimmune polyendocrinopathy-candidiasis-ectodermal dystrophy (apeced) or as whitaker syndrome.
It is associated with candidiasis, hypoparathyroidism, and adrenal failure. No cure exist to date and treatment is typically hormonal replacement and anti fungal treatment if needed. Of note, type 1 is far less common than type 2.
