In brief: Exercise & hives

Exercise-induced urticaria is a symptom of a cholinergic urticaria, a physical urticaria.
In this unusual condition elevation of skin temperature by exercise, fever, or immersion in hot water triggers mast cells to release histamine resulting in hives. In exercise-induced anaphylaxis (eia) hives are accompanied by difficulty breathing or syncope. 1/2 of eia is triggered by food allergy often wheat.
