Salsalate abuse question--how often does that happen?

Very infrequently. Salsalate is an infrequently used NSAID that is somewhat similar to Aspirin but has less GI risk and is not an anticoagulant as is aspirin. Abuse is not a term that generally would apply here. Why is it being taken in the first place? If you take too much you will develop warning signs such as ringing in the ears. This med needs to be taken under rigid dosing guidelines.
