But even if your fmf seems to be a trivial, nuisance-illness not worth taking medication for, the dread, very common complication is amyloidosis which will first ruin and then end your life. Colchicine in particular prevents or a least delays this. I'm glad you are taking a proactive approach to your health. Good luck.
