Can you tell me the difference between a kock pouch and the bcir pouch?

In brief: Valve Type
Both of these are types of continent ileostomy pouches that store stool intra-abdominally and allow the user to drain it through a catheter at will.
The difference between the two is in the exit valves and associated complications - the bcir is really just a newer modification to the original kock pouch.

In brief: It's an upgrade
Bcir is a modification of the koch continent ileal pouch.
The differences in surgical technique result in less local complications, such as fistula. It is built so that mucous is moved toward the pouch rather than to the skin and uses a loop of intestine to create a ring supporting the one way valve.
