In brief: BACK STRAIN NO 4ever
A back strain is just that: a tear in the back musculature due to acute injury.
Fortunately muscle strains usually heal very well without any complication. All that is required is rest, ice and/or heat (30 min. On/30 min. Off), back stretches, back excercises, tens unit, physical therapy or chiropractic care. There is a low chance of permanent problem otherwise we all would have 'back issues'.
