Yes, you could. If you are finished with your antibiotics for your pneumonia, you could certainly have a new bacterial infection. Your symptoms are also consistent with a viral illness, which would not have been covered by the antibiotic taken for the pneumonia. However your clinical history & medications warrants you calling your doctor first and letting her or him know that you're feeling sick with a sore throat. They can instruct you what to do.
