In brief: Also by blood
Hepatitis c is spread through blood and sexual contact.
The practice of sharing needles common to drug users is also a method of spreading hepatitis c.

In brief: No
Hepatitis c is usually spread with small amounts of blood.
Sex with a new partner, forced sex, and men who have sex with other men can transmit hcv. Sex between long term monogamous heterosexual partners is so low risk the cdc does not recommend condoms. More common is sharing needles for drug use or home remedies, less commonly tattoos, piercings. Also blood transfusions before 1992.
