What do scleral contacts look like?

Photograph. Here is a good photograph of a scleral contact lens: http://www.Bing.Com/images/search?Q=scleral+contact+lenses&qs=im&form=qbir&pq=scleral+con&sc=8-11&sp=1&sk=#view=detail&id=6e8e85efee2a90b111a024fca760e5f17d8d85e7&selectedindex=7.
Large contacts. Scleral contacts are clear like regular contacts. They are large and designed to vault over the cornea so there is no chance for contact with the corneal surface. They are helpful in conditions with corneal pathology but require lengthy fitting and are more expensive.
