Looking for ophthalmic herpes prevention drops; are there some safe ones to use?

In brief: Use oral agents

If you're having recurrent eye infections from herpes (herpes keratitis), you should be taking an oral anti-herpes drug, such as valayclovir, acyclovir, or famciclovir.
I can't think of a reason to use eye drops to prevent recurrences.
