In brief: Swollen eye

Keep head elevated (rather than lying flat); apply cool compresses or ice wrapped in soft cloth for few minutes multiple times a day.
If you don't have ulcers or bleeding problems or aren't on blood thinners, you can use an NSAID (advil/motrin/aleve/etc) as directed for pain & inflammation. If there was bruising, expect the discoloration to follow the pull of gravity down your face & gradually dis.
