Is this headache something to be concerned about, like a migraine, if I have subtle distortion in vision?

In brief: It depends
About 30% of migraineurs have a visual aura which usually precedes the headaches lasting 5 to 60 minutes where there may be blurred vision or they may see a geometric pattern sometimes with partial visual loss and bright lights.
The aura may be subtle. The headache is usually throbbing with nausea and or light and noise sensitivity lasting at least 4 hours without treatment. Check with your doc.
