Near sighted means you see better at near and your distance vision is blurry.
Far sighted is just the opposite. In near sighted eyes, the image is brought into focus in front of the retina and a diverging lens is needed to push the image backward to focus on the retina. In a far sighted eye, the image is focused behind the retina and a converging lens is needed to bring the image forward.
