Older, single and I want to have a baby, would artificial insemination or donor egg be the solution?

In brief: It depends.
It depends on what you mean by "older".
If you're over 40, and especially over 42, a donor egg may be a best solution. Be sure to see a board certified reproductive endocrinologist who can individualize your care to you, according to your particular age and situation. At our center, we have amazing ivf success rates in women around age 40 using their own eggs!
