There are surgical procedures for tetralogy of fallot that are highly effective.
In truth, however, they improve the heart; they do not "cure" the heart. They correct the blood flow, but the heart is never truly normal. These patients require lifelong cardiology care. Happily, most patients do very well and lead active and productive lives.
