Why do people who had to have c sections talk about birth trauma? I am just happy to have a healthy baby

See below. Every person has a different tolerance to pain. Some can't handle any, while others should be in pain but don't need anything. There is probably a psychological component involved with some people as well.
It varies. Some women feel they have somehow failed if they have a c-section. There is certainly a group that feels, not totally without justification, that physicians are too quick and too cavalier with c-sections. A truly emergency c-section can be very scary and traumatic with little time to explain things. On the other side are those that request a c-section without even trying labor.
