It seems I might have an overactive bladder. Do I need to see a urogynecologist?

2 doctors agree

In brief: Either Urogyn

Or if there is no previous evaluation or treatment start with your pcp.

In brief: See ObGyn

Start with your obgyn first.
They can probably help. If it is an overactive bladder it can usually be treated with medication.

In brief: Start with PCP

First option should be behavior modification.
Cut out caffeine etc. Carbonated fluids, juices (cranberry) and spicy foods can all bother the bladder. See your doc to make sure there isn't an infection or other issue. For more see http://peedoc.Com/female-urology or on twitter @thepeedoc.
