In brief: Avoid swelling

With aging, we make more urine at night while sleeping.
Support hose can help. Elevate legs above level of heart for 20-30 mins in the evening. Avoid xs fluid intake a few hrs before bedtime. If using a water pill or diuretic, take it in the late afternoon rather than in the am. Treat sleep apnea, it makes nocturia worse.
