Urology
In brief: Seen in PBS or IC
Hunner's ulcers can be found in a subset of patients who suffer from "interstitial cystits" (ic), or more accurately painful bladder syndrome (pbs).
During a procedure called cystoscopic hydrodistension, where the bladder is filled with water and viewed with a camera, some ic/pbs patients will show these characteristic lesions. The ulcers themselves are not serious, and are usually cauterized.
