In brief: See doctor

If you have throbbing in you ear and a headache it could be an infection.
Try Ibuprofen until you can be seen to relieve the pain.

In brief: Could be infection

Several things can cause both those symptoms, but a common cause would be early infection.
Many viral infections start with headache, along with a achiness, fever and pain. Migraines can also cause throbbing pain and headache. Unless you have medical issues tat make them risky, usually tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen/alene can help. Fluids and rest/sleep help too. If more symptoms be seen.
