In brief: Avoid abdomen injury
Avoid blows to the abdomen when pregnant.
Even though the fetus is contained in a great "shock absorbing fluid"(amniotic fluid), sudden severe blows to the abdomen have been known to cause placental abruption. Please wear a seat belt when driving a vehicle even if one has to place a pillow in front of the abdomen for comfort.
