I'm having ovulation pain. Could Clomid (clomiphene) be the cause?

In brief: Yes

Clomiphene is a stimulant to the ovaries.
It raises the FSH levels and triggers development of follicles. The ovaries enlarge as the follicle develops. Some women produce a large number of folicles, adding to the stretching sensation. Most of the time these symptoms are minimal, but on occasion can be quite uncomfortable. Almost always the symptoms are short-lived.

In brief: Clomid (clomiphene) and ovulation

Clomid (clomiphene) is taken to induce ovulation in a patient with chronic annovulation.
If you are on this, it is probably normal to have some pain mid cycle. Hopefully this means you are ovulating. You may also experience hot flashes and night sweats, as Clomid (clomiphene) is an estrogen blocker. Make sure you have intercourse every other day, cycle days 10-20, and are taking a pnv with frolic acid. Good luck.
