Lortab. Both are made by glaxo smith kline & contain acetamenophin & hydrocodone. Lortab dose is 7.5/500 & Lorcet (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) 10/650.
MED DOSAGE. Lorcet (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) contains 10mg of hydrocodone and 650mg of acetaminophen. Lortab contains hydrocodone and Acetaminophen but has several different dosages available.
What is the difference between norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) 10/325 and lorcet 10/500 and lortab 10/500? I am currently in a lot of pain.
Different dose. All these medications are combinations of hydrocodone, a narcotic pain reliever, and Acetaminophen which most people know as "tylenol (acetaminophen)". All three have 10 mg of hydrocodone. Norco 10/325 contains 325 mg of tylenol (acetaminophen) in each pill, while the other two have 500 mg. Their effects are similar; they are just different brand names. Be careful not to take too many, as you could damage your liver severely.
Acetaminophen. Both have the same narcotic ingredient (hydrocodone) & acetaminophen. Both can have the same dose of narcotic agent, but Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) has less Acetaminophen than vicodin or lortab. Drs. Know that Acetaminophen actually has a high risk of causing liver & kidney disease, so using less Acetaminophen decreases the chances of organ injury. This does, however, mean less synergistic pain relief from acetaminophen.
None. Both are hydrocodone/acetaminophen combinations.
