Abnormal lung veins. The pulmonary veins are the vessels that normally bring blood with oxygen back to the heart from the lungs. Supracardiac tapvr is when these veins drain to the innominate vein which eventually brings that blood back to the right side of the heart rather than the left. This requires surgical repair. Babies born with this usually have much lower than normal oxygen levels and appear blue.
Can you tell me about child born with a heart defect called supracardiactotal anomalous pulmonary venous return?
TAPVC. Supracardiac total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (return) is a congenital heart defect where the pulmonary veins do not connect normally to the left atrium. Typically, though, an experienced congenital heart surgeon can completely repair this defect. After successful surgery, patients can go on to live a normal life. Surgery is typically done soon after diagnosis.
What to do if I have a child born with a heart defect called supracardiactotal anomalous pulmonary venous return?
Surgery. Your child will require surgical correction.
Heart Center. Total anomalous pulmonary venous return is a very serious condition and will require an operation very early in life. Some children require emergency surgery right after birth. If your child/fetus has been diagnosed with this, I strongly recommend you to seek care at a large congenital heart center.

PAVR. Partial anomalous venous return is not related to heart attack.
