How bad is it if the epidural analgesia is leaking?

In brief: Not bad

Leaking epidural means local anesthetic and narcotic mixture going via epidural catheter in to epidural space leaks around the catheter at skin site.
If epidural space is superficial it can leak, if accidentally epidural is displaced i.e. Has come out of epidural space it can leak and would not work as it is not in epidural space any more but is subcutaneous..
