Long term studies show that your daily dosage per body weight is the only factor predicting macular / retinal problems.
The safe dose is 6.0 mg/kg. Not one of nearly 2200 pts @ the cleveland clinic was seen with eye issues @ this dose. Difficulty with focusing is common early, but goes away. Crystals of ho-q can form in dry eyes and give what you experience. Use liquid tears or wet moist cloth.
