How many people are diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome in the u.S. Every year?

Leaky gut. That is a tricky question because we are not commonly taught about "leaky gut" in allopathic medical training, so it is not a common diagnosis. It is a very common condition in my opinion as an M.D. with certification in Functional Medicine. There is current research at Harvard by Dr Allessio Fasano around this, so it should be more and more recognized by all physicians in the coming years.
See below. Leaky gut syndrome is not an established medical diagnosis. If your have gastrointestinal issues i recommend being evaluated by your primary md or gastroenterologist.
