In brief: Depends

If under 2 months, give nothing and call your doctor asap.
Over 2 months can get tylenol (acetaminophen), (acetaminophen) over 6 months can get advil/motrin or the tylenol (acetaminophen). But regardless of age, if febrile and that child isn't acting well, then you need to contact your doctor asap.

In brief: Acetaminophen

Acetaminophen is usually recommended for infants with fever.
After age 6 months, Ibuprofen may be used as well. Ask your doctor for exact doses based on the baby's weight.
