In brief: Variable

In some women, even a large amount of endometriosis causes no pain.
In other women a small amount causes significant pain. Women feel a variety of different pain symptoms and the severity is different from person to person. It can be debilitating or it can be very mild.

Some women, even stages 3 and 4, have no pain while a woman with stage 1 or 2 has severe, crippling pain. It depends on the patient.

In brief: Full range

Many have no symptoms until a complication develops.
Pain with bleeding can be quite severe with peritonitis like signs.
