I wake up and hack up thick clear fluid, it looks like spit. I also usually have to blow my nose. This happens everyday doesn't matter location or season. How do I stop this?

In brief: Allergies
Usually just due to allergies.
Otc antihistamines like Loratadine can help. Physicians can prescribe (imo) somewhat better medications like inhaled nasal steroids, that are quite safe and often very effective. Rarely the sign of a more serious disorder and things like your smoking status can affect this as well.

This is often caused by dust mite allergy.
