My 2 week old is constipated. He is pooing only little hard pebbles only twice a day. Is there something I can do to help him?

In brief: More Fiber
4 oz of prune or pear juice daily might do the trick.
The other consideration is to analyze his diet to see why. Remember, what comes out is what goes in. A common cause of hard bms is dairy products, but it can be anything.

In brief: Yes
If you are using formula i find that the powder version often constipates babies.
. Therefore change to concentrate or ready to feed. Or add 1-2 tsp of dark karo syrup to every 4 ounces of formula until soft stools for several weeks.

In brief: Changing diet
Soy formula is known for increasing constipation and a change to cow's milk based formula may help.
Formula with dha and ara added sometimes also causes loose stools. If you are breastfeeding, then the baby may not be getting enough food. If it is very hot the baby may need some extra water. Make sure the baby is growing well by visiting the doctor. Sometimes this is a serious problem.
