Can frequent thoughts of suicide convince you it's a good idea?

Thoughts of suicide. Some people might have frequent thoughts of suicide but never have a strong urge to kill them self. However, another person might not think about suicide often - but might have a strong urge to follow through, with plan & a true intent to die.
