Usually it involves a basic physical exam, they look for things that may put you in danger of injury while competing in competitive sports.
Depending on the school they may ask the athlete to submit to a drug screen as well, but this really depends on the college. Very few schools have added ekg, blood work and other tests to their screen, but this is rare. Your athletics dept can tell you more.
