Optic atrophy. Usually takes 4 to 8 weeks for atrophy to develop after any form of optic nerve injury.
It depends. If there is a total avulsion of the optic nerve then the vision is nlp (no light perception) and the atrophy will occur within a few weeks. If the avulsion is partial them the atrophy may be restricted to the fibers that were severed.
Optic atrophy. Damage to the optic nerve can lead to atrophy of the optic nerve.
