In brief: Myopic progression
If you are an adult, reading will not likely cause any significant change in your myopia.
If you are a child, then myopic progression may occur as the eye grows and can be stimulated by excessive near work. Some slowing of myopic progression can be seen with dilute Atropine and bifocals.
