In brief: Proper match

Guide dogs are wonderful when there is a good rapport between the dog and the blind person.
Obviously the blind person must be mobile, and have the ability to care for a dog. These carefully trained dogs are then matched at training centers with the potential next owner and all has to work well to allow the dog to leave with that person.
