What exactly is inside the prescription drug "focalin"?

Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) Dexmethylphenidate, a form of Methylphenidate group of stimulants.
Dexmethylphenidate. That long word means it's the right side of the methylphenidate molecule, the molecule of ritalin, concerta, and other brand names. It was hoped that deleting the inactive left side would minimize side effects. The dose is half that of ritalin. Onset of action of Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) xr is 1/2 hour and it lasts for about 10-12 hours. Plain Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) lasts 4-6 hours.
