What is the field of vision threshold and what does it have to do with anything?

Ophthalmology
In brief: Vision map
The visual field exam, taken in a dome like apparatus, maps out the sensitivity of the retina at a broad array of points.
It produces a sensitivity MAP like an altitude MAP of a mountain range, which can estimate the health of the retina and also changes in the sensation reception of the brain. Regular fields are done in conditions like glaucoma to estimate progression of loss.
