I'll presume you are speaking of the vaginial area, though not mentioned.
It certainly does sound like a yeast infection. Perhaps treatment wasn't effective. An otc treatment would be gyn-lotrimin, used for 7-10 days. If cream doesn't work, there is a tablet called Diflucan (fluconazole) which in one or two doses may clear it up. If persists, will need a gynecology exam, likely including cultures, etc for dx.
