In brief: Yes!!

Pregnancy is a hypermetabolic state and as such - you may feel heart beating faster at times - usually normal but if you are getting swelling or shortness of breath of any unusual pain - please be checked out by md!

In brief: Yes

Does appear to be a normal response, but ask your OB to check the pulse on your next visit.
