Can we die during sleep, if sleep apnea?

Possible, unlilkely. Sleep apnea can be viewed on line by googling it. Note that there is consriction of breathing that compromises the oxygen requirement of the automatic breathing control mechanism in brainstem. It can occur because oxygen is not being used efficiently in brainstem because of lack of thiamine and magnesium in diet. This deficiency is related to sugar intake.
