Sugar in urine. Present in diabetes mellitus or some kidney conditions where sugar leaks through the kidneys. Blood sugar should be checked if glycosuria is found.
Glucose in the urine. Usually glycosuria occurs in patients with high blood sugar, usually they are diabetic. Rare patients fail to resorb filtered glucose in the kidney, passing glucose in the urine. This can be benign, it should be watched closely for signs of other renal dysfunction.
