I am 5 weeks pregnant and had an abnormal pap with stage 3 cells. The dr. Is going to do a colposcopy with a possible biopsy. I am very nervous abop?

Wait for the results of the colposcopy and biopsy. This will provide you with a more accurate and reliable information set to look at the alternatives. Infection and many other things may produce very abnormal cells which respond to a variety of conservative measures.

Remember a pap smear is not diagnostic.
A colposcopy is just a better test to better see the cervix under magnification & to take directed biopsies to get a better diagnosis. Biopsies are not a problem although i prefer to verify a normal pregnancy first. As long as cancer is not found, you can continue your pregnancy normally with another colposcopy scheduled each trimester if abnl cells r found.
