It affects t cell immunity so you can get viruses (like CMV and ebv) and rarely lymphoma. Second idiosyncratic side effects including elevated creatinine, high blood pressure and high potassium. Seizures, tremor. Hair loss. Despite all of these side effects, one of the best drugs for transplant patients. Can be used very safely.
