In brief: Few
If done correctly, laser hair removal is safe and effective, with few skin changes.
Blistering and pigmentary changes can occasionally occur.

These above risks increase with sun exposure to treated areas either just before or following a treatment. Be sure to use daily sunscreen on sun exposed areas that are undergoing treatment. In addition, proper skin typing at the treatment center will also reduce the risk of burn/blister

In brief: Pigment change, scar
Laser hair removal is generally a safe and effective procedure.
However complications can occur. These include a change in the pigmentation of the skin, either lighter or darker, and scarring. Darkening of the skin is usually temporary. Patients with a tan and darker skin types are at more risk. See an experienced dermatologist or aesthetic physician in order to minimize risk of complications.
